PREACHER

I received my ministerial license in 2010.  My ministry forcus is on individuals outside the 4 walls of the church:  justice-involvled women and returning citizens via Naomi's Daughters, Inc., chaplaincy in the community and hospitals, and Pastoral Care to members who are unable to attend church due to illness. 

WRITER 

I began writing poetry as a child, but rarely share my writing with others. In 2020, I decided to share the poem, “I Can’t Breathe.” From there came this book of poetry. I Can't Breathe - Poems in a Time of Trouble is a collection of poems written in 2020 while the United States was dealing with two pandemics - COVID-19 and Racial unrest. My poetry is an expression of my sole and exclusive thoughts and not endorsed by any government or organization. The poems are inspired by current events involving racial disharmony and the stories of my parents, born in the rural South of the 1930s. Through this work, I seek to expose and identify problems as well as offer solutions. The book can be purchased on Amazon.
